Let’s come together to invest in Summit County’s future. Donate today and make a difference!
Small Business Saturday is tomorrow! On November 30th, let’s come together to support the local shops and businesses that make Summit County special. Here’s why shopping small makes a BIG impact:
Boosts the Local Economy: For every dollar spent at a small business, a significant portion stays right here in the community.
Creates Jobs: Local businesses provide meaningful jobs and growth opportunities for your neighbors and friends.
Unique Finds: Shop small and discover one-of-a-kind items and personalized service that big-box stores just can't match.
Community Support: Small businesses give back to local causes and events, strengthening the fabric of our community.
Tag where you’re shopping small this Saturday and spread the love for our local businesses.
We’re catching up with our Economic Gardening participant, ButtnSki, and its amazing founder, Kelly! She has been busy making waves in Colorado’s outdoor industry. She was recently selected as a member of the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office’s 2024-2025 Advisory Group, where she’ll help shape the future of the outdoor recreation sector by sharing insights and ensuring the industry remains adaptable to diverse needs.
ButtnSki has also achieved a milestone, raising $15,000 through their Kiva loan! This funding will support inventory for the season, day-to-day operations, and exciting upcoming events. We’re so proud to see Kelly and ButtnSki thriving!

🚗 We all know (and loathe) I-70 traffic, but TreadShare is here to change that! As a participant in our High Country Tech Growth Challenge, TreadShare is tackling traffic congestion by connecting drivers and riders heading to the same destination. By increasing carpooling, they’re helping to decrease the number of cars on the road, making for a more sustainable and less stressful commute.
We’re excited to have TreadShare in our program and can’t wait to see their continued impact on reducing traffic and emissions in Colorado!

Meet TubeSift, another innovative participant in our High Country Tech Growth Challenge! Founded by Justin Sardi in 2015, TubeSift was created to solve a major pain point in YouTube advertising. Justin, a video marketing expert, realized there was no efficient way to find and target highly relevant YouTube videos for ad placement—so he built a solution.
With co-founder Ted, they developed a one-of-a-kind tool that takes the manual work out of finding monetized placements for YouTube ads, allowing advertisers to create high-performing campaigns quickly. Today, TubeSift continues to help marketers leverage the massive potential of video advertising with ease.
Excited to see the growth journey ahead for TubeSift and the rest of the cohort!
